It wouldn't, so I ran CCleaner twice, and it started working. I just updated Adobe Acrobat and tried to repair it to no avail.Įxperience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4190.0Įdit: I ended up logging out of my standard user account, logged in with my local user admin account, and checked to see if Adobe Reader would open. All PDF files are set to open with Adobe Acrobat DC as the default program.

Lenovo pushed out a BIOS update two nights ago, so when I got on the laptop yesterday morning, that is when I noticed PDF files would open. I found that if I run it as administrator, it opens, but I can't double-click any PDF files to open them, I have to manually drill through the menu to get them to open. I uninstalled it, rebooted, then reinstalled it (and rebooted) and that didn't work either.

I tried to repair and reboot the laptop and that didn't work. Does anyone have a workaround to get Adobe Reader to open without having to elevate it to open as Admin? Adobe Reader was working fine up until yesterday when it decided it didn't want to open any files.
